Jim .... I am sure everyone on the reflector values your expertise in
matters involving RFI, audio, pin 1 problems, and the like. You are a great
resource in this regard.
However, I think expressions of who is and isn't an "expert" on something
(whatever it is) is out of bounds on a reflector ostensibly devoted to
TenTec-related topics.

Yes, it is my opinion. So is Heil's self-proclaimed expert status. I know
of no one in the world of pro audio who shares that opinion. As to
marketing -- his products are cheaply made and overpriced, but he's
convinced hams that they're wonderful. That's marketing.
On the other hand, I've been honored by being named a Fellow of the Audio
Engineering Society, so my opinion may count for something. Or maybe not.
