Are you sure the setting on contesting.com is correct? It is
normally set to no for receiving a copy of your own posts. I have gmail,
and I tried it with it set to yes and it came trough fine.

I doubt if it's your ISP. Google is just helpfully suppressing the "extra
copy" of your message, when it comes in, because it is an exact duplicate
(well, mostly) of what you sent out.
