Agreed. But I'd say the biggest difference is the user interface and
packaging. Flex requires a computer and makes you work through the computer
screen using point & click, etc. Some swear by that and some swear at it.
The wide-band panadapter display is something the Flex does much better than
the Orion.
The Orion (which I own) has much more the classic look and feel. It works
very well stand-alone without computer support.
