Dumping - eh? That's the premise? ;-)

I have seen no dumping personally unless one considers $1000 on a (minimum) 10
year old radio a sacrifice.

I have a seen guys line up in the 70's to rid themselves of that old tech
Collins (tube) gear at fire sale prices, to make room for that nice TS820, etc.
Eventually that trend turned - and howdy. ;-)

We are living in the golden age of cheap transceivers, old and new, lately I
have been enjoying the old more than the new. !!!

Personally, I got my Omni VI+ a few months back when I swapped rigs with a
gentleman out west. He needed a mobile rig with an auto tuner, so my
TS-480SAT was just what he needed.

Was it a fair swap? Well, I'm very happy, and I haven't heard any complaints
yet.
