I agree completely, Jerry. Last I looked, Elecraft is eating Ten Tec's lunch in the ham radio market, and, IMO, it is because they are keeping in close contact with their customers, and building the high quality products they want, with features they want, and at prices that are quite reasonable for the quality.

I first became a Ten Tec fan around 1980, when I bought an Omni A Series D. I own four Ten Tec power amps, all 1980s vintage, but Elecraft transceivers just haven't hit my sweet spot since then.

If you will reread my email, I didn't say anything about TenTec having
to respond to individuals on this list. I just ask if they read this list.
If I was TenTec, I would have my management team keeping a close eye on what
the customers were saying. If they manage productivity and never listen to
their customers, guess what - soon they will not have any customers!
Successful companies are customer driven. They either take care of their
customers or someone else will. Elecraft created their own list because
they are a customer driven company. I don't suggest TenTec has to create
their own list but, they should at least have someone at their company
keeping an eye on the lists to know what the customer thinks and wants.
