No issue at all when using the Omni VII with the Alpha 86/89/87A. We were referring to the Omni VI/VI+.

Golly, I had no idea there was any issue at all hooking my Omni VII to
an Alpha amp, other than to set some sort of reasonable T/R delay. WE
used the PTT cable/jack on the rig to the amp, and no ALC cable.

Should I be reading these articles. I have a TT Centurion amp at home,
but I sometimes use an Alpha 76 (I think) at a contest station.

Should I worry?

The same information was posted on the Alpha site at one time. Try there
first. Essentially, it used the TX-En keying loop of the Omni to key the
Alpha 87A through a diode. Vac Relay models of Alphas did not require that,
but for some reason the PIN-diode switching amps (87A and 89, for two)
needed it.
