To me NB is NB and NR is NR...not the same at all.
NB, of course does have HW & SW function,

I find the NR is not very good here on the OII. Also the NB causes

of clicking sound when a strong signal is ...well maybe within 10 KC

I really wish it was better....so...I rarely find an instance that it
helps...
Maybe I need to tweek some settings while using it??

I've tried them side by side, and found the "old" Orion II sub
receiver
quieter than the Yaesu Mk V, due to the O II's DSP NR. It would still
benefit
from a good roofing filter, though, so I plan to get the RX-366 when
