Paul, the Eagle does not "push".
It really is a dual concentric pot.

The Omni VII is the one where you push to toggle back and forth between RF
and AF Gain.

Don't forget, the Orion has two receivers so you need all of that twice!

Using the multi knob for everything but fixing breakfast has been my main
dislike of the Orion.

This may not work, or maybe not liked by many,

Put a dual function pot on the AF gain knob. Make one the AF gain and one
the RF gain.

Either one like the Eagle has where you push it to change from one to the
other, or an inside outside pot.

I use both regularly depending on band and/or antenna.
