I did the exact same thing with my Argonaut 509.
It was elsewhere for about 3 years, but I got it back.
Alas, it's gone again.
I sold everything when I moved to the States in 2007.

The Argosy was a better radio and could be switched to 50w, so that was
great.
I really loved it, but it went with all else in 2007.

On the bright side, today I have an Eagle!

Steve,

Although my Argosy wasn't my first radio, it was my first _new_ radio. Like
you, about 15 years ago I decided to move on. I subsequently sold it but
shortly thereafter started "kicking myself" as the quip goes.

A few years later I was in the flea market at an area hamfest when a friend
of mine who knew that I liked Ten-Tec equipment said "there's a nice-looking
Argosy a few rows over." I went to the table he indicated, started looking
at the radio, and turned it around to look at the back panel. I suspect
someone would have liked to have had a camera handy as I read the serial
number and then looked up to see the guy I had sold it to a few years
before.

Needless to say, it went home with me that day and it's still sitting in the
shack.

Just my $0.02 worth HI HI!!
