They could have also had PBT or RXEQ at some ridiculous value, etc.

I tend to disagree on Orion setup.  Even if I had never used an Orion, I
honestly think I could walk up to one and quickly figure out how to
optimally set it up.  It has a very straightforward interface and menu
system.
