With the latest version of HRD, V5.24.0.03, I've not been able to get it to
connect to the Omni VII in Radio mode although it does list Omni VII (Radio) in
the radio list. However, when using "Jupiter" as the selected radio in HRD it
does connect. I've not seen anything on the HRD discussion groups.
Configuration as to COM port, speed, parity, data bits and such being the same
for both radios. COM 1, 57600, 8 bit, N Parity, 1 STOP, RTS on, DTS on.
Thinking a file was corrupt or missing, I removed HRD and then downloaded it
again with no change in results. Thinking it might be a version of firmware in
the radio that I'm evaluating for Tentec, I stepped back to a couple of earlier
versions with no success.
FYI - The current version of HRD does connect successfully with the Eagle and
works quite nice.
What am I missing regarding the Omni VII? Or is there an issue with HRD.
