Bob, you may want to use REVO Uninstaller
<http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html> which
I've used and which is also a recommended uninstall solution at the DXLab
Suite site.
After completely removing all software modules and registry entries related
to HRD, you could then try doing a clean install.

Subject: [TenTec] Omni VII & HRD Connection Fails
In using HRD version 5.24., durrent release, for what ever reason I have
not been able to get it to connect to the radio, Radio Mode, via RS-232
connection. No serial converter being used. Configuration: Com port 1,
57600 8 N 1 seems to be correct. Other software using the same computer,
same cable and same radio does work and it reads frequency and mode as
expected. When HRD loads it gives the error message that it can not read
frequency. I've tried the Auto-Detect mode for both com ports and baud
rates without success. I've tried various combinations of DTR, RTS and CTS
without any success.
I seem to recall that an earlier version of HRD works but I no longer have
access to the version. That earlier version did not have provisions for the
Eagle which the current version supports and that work nicely I might add.
I've also stepped back to earlier firmware versions of Omni VII firmware
without success. Currently using 1.035a for the Omni VII.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.
