Do you have a reference or any additional info on the phase noise comment? I'd
like to post it on the FTdx-5000 reflector to see what that group has to say.

Thanks.

Subject: [TenTec] Transmitted Phase noise from Rob Sherwood

*Another bit of info from Rob Sherwood NCØB * *73, Curt WØALC * *Curt, Please
forward.* ** *Two hams in Boulder are causing havoc with their FTdx-5000 and
FTdx-3000 due to transmitted phase noise, even from one band to another (15
meters to 20 meters). A 706MkIIG was about 20 dB better than the expensive
Yaesu products. Several hams at the Boulder club are going to get more specific
data, but the problem with the Yaesu rigs exist with just the rig keyed and the
mic gain at zero. (i.e. no power output except the transmitted phase noise.) *
