Jim,

I don't think the grease Ten-Tec provides is anything special. I'm looking to doing the same thing soon and there is quite a discussion on greases on the TenTecWiki PTO rebuild section: http://www.tentecwiki.org/doku.php?id=pto I've about decided to go with white lithium grease as our local bike shop doesn't carry the others mentioned. See what you think.

Hello,

Probably 10 years ago I purchased the PTO rebuild kit for my 544... but since
the PTO continued to function, I never did the rebuild. It has been sitting on
the shelf for a number of years now.

The green lube is still in the plastic bag and still squishy (forgive the technical
term). Should I get new lubricant or go with the "old" stuff? Am I likely to
find good 'grease' locally, or should I just contact Ten Tec?

Tnx & 73
