Recently had my Orion II into Ten-Tec for a warranty issue. Had them install the RX366 SubRx upgrade option. Noticed that now during startup and just before audio cuts in, there is a brief (1 second) ratcheting noise similar to the internal antenna tuner noise. This new sound occurs regardless of whether the internal antenna tuner is enabled or disabled. Has anyone else experienced this and can explain what this noise represents? Trying to verify if this is normal or indicative of a problem. Tnx Don W5MMJ |
