Hi, The PTO in my 1986 Corsair II is getting worn and causing the CW signals to sound wobbly. I have the option of rebuilding the PTO again, or replacing it with one of the DDS boards available for purchase. I am familiar with the DDS kit that N4YG offers; a friend of mine installed it in his Argosy II with good results. That is a viable option. I've also come across a DDS board offered by K3JLS and a write-up about installing it in an Omni D. I am wondering if anyone has tried this board in their Corsair II? If so, I would like to know how the installation went and their impression of its performance in the radio. Thank you, Thomas - ac7a |
