Nicely spec'd Rick. I would add: don't undersize the radio and give up
ergonomics in the process. For example, the Orion's VFO/ANT switch matrix
(lower left) is genius. If anything, give it more real estate and add
Main/Sub Audio and take that function out of the Audio Menu and on to the
front panel.
I agree with not needing a front panel panadapter - use the PC's monitor
for that.
And STEREO Rx Line Outs please, like the 565 had before the 566 dropped
them.
I agree with Carl in theory about DDC/DUC being the future, but I think the
development hurdle makes it impossible for TT and most other
manufacturers. Flex isn't selling that many 6K's due to price and current
lack of features.
