I think this discussion, along with the other thread about grounding,
illustrates the insecurity many of us experience when told to go read the
NEC, or the building code, if that is different.

Even trained engineers seem to be of differing opinions about what is
adequate, best, etc.

Meanwhile, the rest of us grow old with worries.
