John,

I have been trying to reach Oliver all weekend but to no avail.

The problem is, all of France is on vacation right now.

I believe I can get you a full license for free, but not before I find
Oliver, wherever he may be.

Perhaps he was off for IOTA this weekend.

Here is a problem description of what does not work with WIN-TEST / bandmap:

Known Bugs:

1. Bandwidth: (front panel control knob) no longer functions after the
software has taken over control of the radio. The only way to change the
bandwidth of the Eagle is to exit the software, which returns control to the
Eagle's front panel. All other front panel controls seem to function
normally.

2. Mode: When using OmniRig and the Orion2 drivers within a software
application such as WIN-TEST, and working with the Band Map, each time you
double click on a station in the band map window, the Eagle jumps to the
correct frequency, but the radio is placed into Lower Sideband. Normally
it should remain in the same mode you are working in. So when working CW,
it jumps to LSB and you must switch it back to CW manually, using the front
panel Mode button. When working USB, it switches to LSB manually and you
must return to USB using the front panel Mode button.

Note: Perhaps it's the other way around, always going into USB, not LSB.
It's been 8 months since I last used it. To test this, try it on one of the
upper bands, then try it again on one of the lower bands. It will be
apparent which mode is the default mode after every double-click within the
Band Map.

Well, that couldn't have been any easier, I downloaded Win-Test, omnirig,
and configured it for an Orion, and have that part working.

Now, if anyone has any specific issues with the Orion ini file, please let
me and I will take a look at it. I don't know much about WinTest and all
that it can do right now other than how to view frequency changes in WinTest
when I change them on the front panel of the Orion.

Know this.... The Eagle is a subset of the Orion. So it should be easy,
right? Will let you know if I work it out or not.

Rick, Attention Rick..... Mr. I Want WinTest (lol, just kidding) If you can
please email your eagle .ini file (rename it to .jsh or .pdq or something, I
don't believe .ini files make it through some email exchanges.

Thanks Bill Gates.....

Thanks, and 73,
