Interesting. My computer is relatively fast, and I use a hardware serial port 
for my OII and have had no problems flashing it or with anything else. I have 
none of my old machines because they all suffered from bad capacitors on the MB 
or dead old-style PS and I considered them not worth repair. 

If TT's flash program is somehow hardwired to use a processor no faster than X, 
myriad problems will soon arise.
