It may not be a crime, but it's dumb. Successful manufacturing includes careful sourcing of components and maintaining QC of both incoming components and outgoing products. ALL consumer products, including ham gear, must sell at a price that the buyer can afford. That means reasonable compromises between component quality and cost. The use of military quality components could easily raise the cost of gear by a factor of 10X or more. How many hams are willing (or able) to pay $10-40K for a 100W transceiver?

BTW, in case we wish to make use of you "buying and selling business" what is

Yes. I want to see callsigns in all posts to ham reflectors.
