I just uploaded the update installer for V2.3 for the Eagle in the Files
section of the Eagle yahoo group.
Go to the FIles Section
>From TEN-TEC
You will see a link to:
599-Setup-2.3.exe
Download that file, run it, and it will install the latest update file, ruf
file, and programming instructions on your computer.
On Windows with real start menus, it will be in "Start" "All Programs"
"TEN-TEC" "Eagle FIrmware Update" (or similarly named)
There is an "Update" link/exe in that same folder to perform the update
There are history files
There is a programming instruction file (readme.txt)
The item it resolved is:
V2.3
Improved ALC action to get higher PEP on SB
Improved the FAN control algorithm to reduce constant running / cycling.
The beta test team has already worked with it, and can answer most
questions in the Eagle yahoo group.
BE SURE YOU READ the instructions on the drivers.
These reside at:
http://www.rkrdesignsllc.com/products/transceivers-receivers/ten-tec-model-599at-eagle-transceiver-100-watts-if-dsp-with-tuner/
If the link doesn't work, go to rkrdesignsllc.com,
select Transceivers and Receivers
select the Eagle
Scroll down
READ the link named:
USB to UART README FIRST
In a nutshell, if you have V2.1 firmware in your radio as shipped
originally from the factory, then you only need to install the V2.x
drivers. Download the instructions for V2.x drivers, download the driver
file itself to my documents (NOT the desktop). Unzip it, and follow the
instruction file.
If you have V1.825 or 1.827 or 1.829, well, read the instructions, and if
you are running Windows 8.1 or 10, then you will have some work to do to
enable driver signing to be disabled.
