Well I am still stuck here.  I have double checked all the connections that
I could have possibly touched, and everything is correct.  At this point
upon power up I do get a quiet hiss out of the speaker, so it is at least
partially working.  The display typically is blank, and none of the buttons
work... (i.e. I push them and no LEDs light and I do not hear a beep)...   0
