Do you know that the tube is good?

voltage

I have a Titan II, with a just-completed Russian 4CX1600 tube installation.

It generally works, produces significant output.

However, even at standby the plate current is about 600 mA and DROPS
slightly when I key the amp.

The amp IS keying properly as I can hear the relay.

Screen current remains within limits when driven to about 1000 watts output.

So does the grid current.

Grid voltage in standby is ~-100 V, ~-60 when keyed.
Screen voltage is always 300 Volts when in Operate mode, keyed or unkeyed.

Anyone seen this happen before?
