Stuart,
Yes, grounding is a problem here as I can't find a good place on the laptop
to attach a ground wire. At home I use a tower and it has plenty of good
grounding points. The Eagle seems to be pretty clean of itself, all the junk
goes away when i disconnect the antenna.

As long as the Flex is not producing spurious signals to be picked up on
its own receiver, turning off other computers and routers should work to
eliminate computer noise. The long term fix, is to fix the pin 1
problems Paul posted about, lack of grounding to the computer case for
the shields of incoming or outgoing cables.

I have used few Flex radios, but generally, they were pretty clean of
self generated RFI. Checking the shield integrity of interconnect
cables and using ferrite cores are two things that help keep computers
quiet.
