The Omni VI does not have a keying interface. You would need to use a Winkey keyer for that.

Jim, et al,

They must have removed the 735 from the list. It only shows newer models of
Icoms.
They do have two generic Icoms in the list: "Icom Amateur radios" and "Icom Amateur
Radios (Early)"
I changed the address to 04 and both of those talk to the rig (i.e. They set
the QRG and mode) but the rig never gets keyed when you try to send a message.

Thanks for the responses gents. I think I'll go chase DX. I know that works...

Thanks Greg,

The radio address is different, if it matters, and I would be sure to get
a fan on your heatsink.

Joe, seems like I used Icom 735 (some older
version like that) with my Paragon that has an N4PY chip.
The Omni 6 may be the same

Omni 6 Plus

Gents,
Winmoor does not support the Omni 6 Plus in
their Rig Control software.
I'm thinking
that someone once told me there was a different brand and
model that used a command set equal to or very similar to
the Omni 6.
Does that ring any bells?

Or, has anyone found another
work-around for this problem?

Thanks, Joe, K8MP
