[TenTec] Triton IV on battery

Would a Triton work ok on a 12 volt car battery? Maybe not full output, but no 
drift or click. Wondering what I could put into my car for portable ops (on the 
cheap). Not going to use this while driving, nor use with the engine on, nor 
for long periods of time.
