Hello to the list,
I have a post 1997 Scout with SMT boards but only have the
'discontinued' manual that shows discrete components. I'm
specifically interested in the I.F./Audio board which is 81646 in the
manual but is 78156 in my rig and I'm wondering if the schematics
would be the same. It's hard to tell the parts placement in the lousy
images in the manual. Has anyone with a Scout come across this
situation or have any schematics of the SMT boards?
tnx & 73,
Steve k7dna

I can?t help you with that board but what you posted does explain
why board numbers in my Scout don?t correspond with numbers in my
manual.
I installed the circuit recommended in the manual for keying an
amp. Although the numbers differed, I was able to find the correct
board and right terminal to make connection.
Now I understand why numbers are different.
Sorry I can?t help with your problem.

Thanks for the reply Winston. From what I read here it seems to be
common to have different versions of some pc boards in TT rigs. My RX
board is correct although it's marked 81644 SMT so parts are
different. My LLD/ALC board has old & new numbers: 81725 & 78155
(maybe a cross over?). So, hopefully, does anyone with a Scout have
the schematic for the later I.F./Audio board with SMT marked 78156?
Or even know if the schematics would be the same? I haven't heard
back from TT yet.
tnx agn & 73,
Steve k7dna
