The caps came from Mouser and where the ones tentecwiki said to use. I don’t
turn off radio just let it run . Thought there is no expanding and contracting
on those pin connectors. I just used some silver grease on most of the pins and
am happy with the result.
The radio has a mind of its own that’s for sure. It will go months without
missing a beat but then there’s always some little thing. The last one was the
Molex power connector , spread the pins a little and it lasted about 3 months
. Just seems like yesterday but it was February. Hihi Yes the radio isn’t New
anymore. 16 years old or so I’m not complaining . I’m just happy to see the
other hams faces when there’s a voice pops out of quite while where drinking
coffee!
