Make sure the audio level is adequate from the computer to the Signalink
to key the Signalink. This is controlled by the SPKR ICON on the
computer. Should be 30 to 50. If the red LED on the Signalink
doesn't come on, this would indicate the incorrect audio source is
selected on the computer or the audio is too low. If the Signalink
red LED comes on, this would indicate the jumpers inside the Signalink
may not be correct even though he has the "correct" cable.
The Omni VII must have the TX audio source set for Line In and the Line
gain set for about 30 to 40. Set the TX PWR to 100 watts and control
the actual transmit power using the TX level knob on the Signalink.
>>>A MUST DO>>>>>>Be sure the TX EQ is set to 0 dB and the Speech
Processor is OFF.

Has anyone setup an Omni 7 with FT8. My ham friend, KA5NSH has an Omni 7 and
is using a SignaLink with correct cable to the accessory socket and cannot get
the software to key the transmitter. The software is receiving and decoding OK
and he set the software setup for the Omni 7.
Thanks,
