Are you sure the problem isn't in the mic itself? Seems odd that it would
follow to the rear PTT jack as well.

I would take the time and clean connectors. Do them one at a time. Be careful
and assure they are seated correctly. I use contact cleaner applied to a Q-Tip
and scrub the male pins. Then exercise the connector on and off of the mating
connector to wipe the contacts. NEVER spray anything into the radio.
