A few days ago, I foolishly allowed an auto-tuner attempt to match an
end fed wire connected to my Pegasus. I am the original owner of this
radio and it was the third Pegasus sold by Ten Tec.
After a couple of attempts to match 80 and 160 meters, I smelled smoke
and now find I only have three or four watts output.
Other than RF output, the radio performs as well as the day I received
it from Ten Tec.
I believe that the RF output transistors have failed, but can't find any
information on what or where to purchase them. I have not disassembled
the RF unit yet.
My manual is just a users manual and it is unlike most Ten Tec manuals
which include schematics and detailed alignment instructions.
If anyone on this reflector could help me with information concerning
final transistors, I would certainly appreciate the guidance.
