Mouser Electronics had (or used to have) an Orion II upgrade kit.
It included caps for the A9 power board, the battery, and a bunch of
encoders. Can't find a single part number now for the package.
But the encoders are p/n 652-PEC11L 4225FS0015 as best I can read the
small print.
The caps were used by K2KP to update my A9 board, though I seem to have
some leftover as well. I have not used the encoders, though my RIT/XIT
encoder doesn't work.

There is a guy on eBay selling some he claims are original. They ar en to but
they look to be correct other than the wrong color and brand.
I have some Bournes encoders that are new. I modify them because they come with
detents, which you do to want. It takes 5 to 10 minutes each for me to do each
so I need to get $15 each for them.
Once you go to the work to remove the encoder board, you might as well replace
all of the encoders because it is a lot of work to get this board out. Also,
you need a really good solder puller to get the old ones off the board. I
generally cut the leads off the old encoders and remove each lead
one-at-a-time, then clear the holes with the solder puller. Do NOT tug very
hard on the pins, make sure the solder is fully melted or you will pull traces
off the board and these are almost impossible to repair.
Let me know if you want mine or go searching for the ones on eBay.
