What kind of Super Lube?  I see a couple of different types.

When the green Ten Tec grease dries out my PTO becomes jumpy.  I have this problem with both my Corsair and Scout, though the PTO designs are different.

On the Corsair I tried a light synthetic grease but it was too slippery. The PTO spring tension caused the PTO to unwind as soon as I let go of the tuning knob.

I've tried a couple of different lubricants on the Scout to no avail.

I think maybe when I tune slowly I'm fighting the FLS system. because if I switch to keyer speed mode, it seems to tune more smoothly.

Also, the Scout's mechanical stability is awful.  Pushing on the front panel, like plugging in headphones, will cause the PTO to jump.  It's the nature of the design.  There is no rigidity in the chassis because the whole structure is held together by the circuit boards and a few Aluminum plates.  I've been thinking about adding cross bracing inside but that wouldn't be so easy sine the Scout is really tight inside.

Super Lube is 100% synthetic
