I was reading John's contest summary and need to apologize for QRMing him in
the DX Window. We went multi-op with two ops and 100 watts to a 133 ft
vertical. We ended up with about 1000 qso's and 84 mults.
This is the story :
My partner is a proficient high speed CW op who has never contested on 160
meters. I'm napping during my break when he says, "I thought this was the
Gentlemen's Band, I found a clear spot and everyone is calling me a lid!"
I check the frequency and it's in the dx window. I accept responsibility
for this as I failed to properly instruct.
My apologies to John and to all.
