Having been involved in determining the amateur radio frequency
allocations here in Israel, I seem to recall that the band 1810-1850
KHz is allocated exclusively to amateur radio on a world wide basis.
Perhaps this is not entirely correct, or perhaps there have been some
changes in the IARU regulations. If, however, this is correct - then
some aggressive action is called for by all of us.
Furthermore, even if the beacons are allowed on topband, then we
should still address the question of possible power and antenna
limitations that they may be exceeding.
See you all on T H E BAND (only one band qualifies for that
distinction!).
