I am terribly shocked to read of Peter's passing. Peter was a good friend
who I've known over the years, and of course, an excellent operator. Last
October, I had the pleasure of meeting him in person at the RSGB HF
Convention where we spent many hours talking about topband and about his
pioneering 137 KHz work. Most of all, my memories of that meeting are of how
nice a fellow he was - so positive and peaceful - very courteous and
thoughtful - a very modest fellow in spite of his great knowledge and
accomplishments. Of all the people at the convention, Peter was one of two
fellows that I asked to join my team in the antenna construction contest
(making a working antenna with just a few simple hand tools and no measuring
devices). I "thought the world of Peter". Please pass on my sincerest
condolences to his family...
