I posed that same question on the vhf reflector last December after
finding some 9913 chewed up in five different places. Received multiple
replies, like:
-mount artificial snakes or owls nearby
-get heavier coax (duh)
-shoot every squirrel you see
-elevate your coax -them critters can't jump too high
-get hollow armor "Tek" product and run your coax thru it
-get "Zoodoo", a mixture of animal dung from zoos, to drive animals away
-shoot every rabbit you see
-obtain mountain lion urine from feed store, apply to ribbons of cloth
every few meters on coax
-find a buryable coax that has rodenticide in the shielding, or bury it
with rat poison sprinkled on it
-run your coax through garden hose
That is the distillation of about two dozen replies. Hope it may be
useful.
