Folks,
Alarm woke me up at 5:15am local (21:15z) for my usual dose of 160m, XYL
muttered something but went back to sleep (Yes the shack is also the
bedroom- that's why I can't run SSB folks- wakes up the XYL and baby...
).
Tuning the band it sounded dead. Found a spot and called CQ and hey
presto- a log book full of JA and many many EU. Fantastic conditions- I
worked several new ones and even a couple of western EU's who were
running on pieces of wet string (like me).
Just goes to prove never say never on topband. Next time please spread
out a bit more folks- even with the narrow filter in several guys on
same QRG make it slow work. Thanks to all who came back to my QRP Tx,
Regards
