g'day john, mauri & the topband gang

thanks for the input

by the way, i shook the moths out last friday and bought a copy
of balanis "antenna theory, analysis and design" a most excellent
publication (john, your book is next on the list). coincidentally
it has a short section on superdirectivity, with the usual disclaimers
as to the problems, but an overview of best case design on the
basis of sensitivity to error. but most intriguing is the inclusion of
a reference to the following

e.h.newman, j.h. richmond & c.h.walter "super directive receiving arrays"
ieee trans antennas propagation, vol ap-26 no. 5 sept 1978 pp 629-635

it is reassuring that someone has previously considered the topic relevant
will try and obtain a copy & report further, hopefully it has some relevance
to topband
