PW0T made it big time into the USA west coast last night, working many
6's and 7's. I assume the operator was either Dick, N6FF or Rolf, PY1RO,
the two topband specialists on the team.
Rolf is my 160-meter "Elmer", getting me intersted in topband back in
1963 when he visited me in Detroit when he was only 21 years old. He
prompted me to put a loading coil into the base of my 40-meter vertical
and we multi-oped in my first CQ 160 contest as W8DGP in January 1963. I
remember my biggest thrill in that one was working a W6, hi.
It's good to see Rolf getting back into the hobby again after a long QRT.
