hello reflectees !
For the last 3 weeks i am using my beverages above water.About 2/3 of the length
of my WNW,NW and NNW beverages is above water after the river flooded the
terrain. I have been switching between TX ant and bevs many times and i cant
see
any degradation of performance that could be easily noticed on receive.I used
to
do that many times when the ground was stil dry and i am very familiar with the
relations of signals on the TX and the RX antennas.
Ground conductivity is very good at the moment as i have about one foot of
water
remaining. The common concept is, that beverages above good ground are poor
performers. From my experience i CAN`T give positive proof of that. And i
have
been observing this about twice a year in the last years, but this time i
wanted
to launch my observations to the reflector.
If the degradation of performance is very slight in my case, where the
conductivity can only be beaten by saltwater, then the whole boloney about bad
beverage performance over good grounds isn`t worth a dime. Say what ??
