Bill,

It will take a bit of experimenting, and quite a lot of time on the tower,
but this is the approach that my experience dictates you take.

You need to find the effective 1/4 WL point from the top of the tower which
may be about 100' AGL.  At that point use downward sloping 1/4 WL radials
which may be insulated or grounded to the tower (your choice and there are
advantages and disadvantages both ways.

You feed this 1/4 WL Groundplane antenna through a Gamma Match at the same
point of the radial attachment if you want to use grounded at the tower
radials.

If you want to use insulated radials, you can tune them and connect the
center conductor of the coax to them and the shield to the tower.

In either case, the end result will be a VERY effective Top Band TX antenna.

These are the basic configurations.  There are a number of details which I
will not go into here.  If you are interested, we can correspond directly
while you plan and implement the project.
