You might look at the October, 1983 QST article, "High-Pass Filters for
Receiving Applications" by John Webb, W1ETC. It starts on page 17.
I built one of his nine-section ones for my 160 RX system to take care of a
BC station on 1620 which is about a mile from my QTH and runs 10KW daytime
and 1KW night. It works well also with my MFJ259B for impedances around 50
ohms. Otherwise it is a wipeout.
Mine is built in an aluminum chassis with aluminum mesh on the bottom and
corners for shielding.
