Geoff PJ2/W0CG today completed construction of a 1000-foot
European Beverage at the Signal Point station on Curacao
(http://asgard.kent.edu/ccc/signal.point.home.htm contest call:
PJ2T). This is a permanent antenna installation, and so will
be there for all future contests and other uses of the station.
The top photo on the page below will show the terrain faced.

In the top photo, the Beverage runs from the rocky part midway
up the hill above the far white building, up the slope, and over
onto a gentle slope on the other side (toward Europe).
Geoff will be on for a time tonight testing it, so a few Europeans
calling would make him feel better about his three days of
hacking through cactus and wabi (vicious, spiny bushes)
to string the Beverage wire!
The two taller towers are 100 and 80 feet high, and the 160m
transmit antenna, an Inverted-L, is suspended between them.
