Ake, 5R8FU has started to be QRV at his sunrise on 160 M. As many of
you remember, he tried often on 1834 just before his sunrise during our
winter in the northern latitudes during the past couple of seasons.
Ake says he is again on 160 M near his sunrise calling CQ on days that
he would seem to have better propagation. In prior years, he started
about 20 minutes or so before his sunrise (now near 0207Z) thru the 5R
sun up. More often he would then QSY to 3513 and work those who could
hear him on 80 M.
I don't believe this will be a DAILY routine since sunrise is in the
"wee" hours during Madagascar summer. But Ake was pretty faithful to
days when he thought condx might be favorable.
