Jerry, I shunt feed an 80 ft tower for 160 and 80 which has a two stack 4 el SteppIr's. I have been doing this for about a year with no problem. I DO retract all elements. I am pleased with the performance. Howard..K2HK The possibility of using the SteppIR as a tunable cap is interesting... has anyone tried this? If so, have you run full power thru it? Did you use a relay to connect the SteppIR? 73, Jerry K3BZ
