I have found that my Rx verts suffer considerably from being "hillside mounted". However, there does seem to be some advantage in some directions where the verts are blocked from noise sources. I think it is probably impossible to determine the impact of terrain using the modeling programs available to most of us. Best bet is to try the antenna and love (or hate) the results. No easy way.
