As W2PM notes, the MFJ model is extremely fragile. I tried to use it as an
extension on a ladder set for an inverted V, and the weight of the coax
caused a huge sagging top! By their design, it appears impossible to only use
each section at 50% or the like.
I will say that the load seems to be well balanced. When it finally broke,
it just didn't kink and sag over, it broke in 4 places all at once! I'm a
far cry from an MFJ basher, but I think this product has little real value.
