The Stew Perry contest started off with a bang here in Boring, Oregon.
No fewer than THREE VK6 QSOs in the log (at 30 points each) along with
several handfulls of JAs, a VK3, ZL3, UA0, a couple KH6s and KL7s thrown
in.
The Stew is tasting might fine. Hope to see lots of activity tonight.
Last night, LY2IJ dominated the band for a couple of hours. Arunas uses
a CSM tower to support some wires and hangs out in a storage container
waiting for the band to open. He was on 1831.4 and had a very consistent
signal. Also worked were UU4JMG, SM5EDX and OZ1LXJ. I heard DF2PY briefly,
but I think Wolf got on the band a little late for the opening.
Hope conditions continue to improve for tonight.
